This year, Clemence Hoar Cummings has yet again extended its support to the Havering Museum’s Variety Club for the Over 50s – marking the third year running that we have sponsored the event.
David Belbin, our Managing Partner, recently rolled up his sleeves and played an active role in the Variety Club’s latest session, which set out to teach guests about the history of pubs and pub-related games.
Commenting, David said: “We have been supporting this group for three years now and feel it is important to support our local community and the older people of the borough.
“The Club is a place where people can make friends and enjoy the opportunity to learn new skills thanks to the great activities offered by the facilitators, Dr Ian Browne and Ian Selby.”
Ellen Owen, Museum Director at the Havering Museum, added: “Sometimes a simple ‘thank you’ doesn’t seem enough, as the support of David’s company not only helps us to financially run these groups but provides a great deal of fun, joy and friendships for the people attending.”
