Lana joined Clemence Hoar Cummings in 2017, previously working for another firm in Essex for 4 years.

She leads a team of staff, where she is pioneering the creation of bespoke management account reports for a wide range of clients using Xero’s innovative software.

The information she provides not only supports the firm’s directors and other managers in their growing advisory work but directly assists boards to make key strategic decisions by creating effective departmental budgets and accurate financial forecasts.

Lana is taking an active role in training staff, helping clients with cash forecasts, budgets and gaining a better understanding of their business, while also providing training and support to clients doing their own accounting using the latest software.

Since coming into the role, Lana has been focused on building strong relationships with clients, by offering a professional and friendly service.

Shane joined the firm in 2017 after graduating from university and qualified as a Chartered Accountant (ACA) in 2023. Since he started his career, he has developed a broad portfolio, working with a diverse range of clients including limited companies, sole traders, personal tax clients, and charities. Shane takes pride in delivering clear, practical advice and building strong, long-term relationships with clients across various sectors.

Maria is a Senior Manager at Clemence Hoar Cummings, where she oversees staff and assignments, leads training initiatives, prepares budgets, and develops processes to improve operational efficiency. With several years of experience in accountancy firms, she has a strong background in audit, accounts, and tax work, and has played a key role in mentoring and training staff throughout her career.

Maria is ACCA-qualified, having achieved her qualification while working full-time, and went on to earn a BSc (Hons) in Applied Accounting. Her strengths lie in audit and organisation, and she is passionate about creating streamlined systems that support both clients and teams.

Outside of work, Maria is an active member of her local parkrun community, regularly volunteering and walking, and is proud to be working toward her next milestone. She’s also a keen theatregoer and enjoys a wide range of productions at her local venue.

Kevin Perkins F.C.A., C.T.A

Kevin Perkins F.C.A., C.T.A

Kevin was born and educated in Ilford. He has worked locally in general accountancy practice for over 35 years having qualified as a Chartered Accountant in 1987, becoming a Fellow of the Institute in 1998. He then qualified as a Chartered Tax Adviser in 1990.

Kevin has a wide portfolio of clients ranging from high net wealth individuals, charities and trusts to limited companies, with a particular emphasis on all aspects of their tax affairs.

He is married with a son and daughter and lives in the Brentwood area of Essex.

Service: Payroll and Bookkeeping Services

Specialism: Payroll Compliance including Construction Industry Returns, RTI and Autoenrolment

Jennie joined Clemence Hoar Cummings in 2001 as a junior assistant in the payroll services team and has developed her knowledge in payroll services and now leads the team as well as providing the accounting and financial control function for Clemence Hoar Cummings.

Theresa Webb

Service: Personal Tax Compliance and planning

Specialism: Provision of detailed assistance with complex personal tax returns, partnership tax and other compliance issues

Theresa joined Gane Jackson Scott in 1991, having previously worked with the Inland Revenue and moved with David Belbin when the firm merged with Clemence Hoar Cummings 10 years later. Theresa works with David Bransbury and Kinga McLaughlin to deliver the personal tax service many of our clients need. She has developed a great relationship with her personal tax clients who like her down to earth and simple explanations of what can be complex issues.

Daniel joined us in 2009 as a qualified accountant having trained with a smaller firm in Essex. He works across the department leading the site work on our larger more complex clients as well as providing highly valued interim change management support for clients.

Neil joined Clemence Hoar Cummings in 2003 after passing his AAT exams and then going on to quality with us. Working closely with Philip Redhead and his client portfolio as well as David Belbin he has developed a very deep understanding of the needs of GP practices and the pension arrangements for medical practitioners.

Kinga McLaughlin, FCCA

Kinga McLaughlin, FCCA

Service: Accountancy, Personal and Corporate Taxation and Cloud Accounting

Specialism: Business start-ups, owner managed businesses consultancy and accountancy support

Kinga qualified in 2011 and has more than 20 years’ experience in general practice, with responsibility for handling a mixed portfolio of clients.

She works with limited companies, sole traders, landlords and partnerships in various business sectors including construction, retail, IT, design, consultancy, pre-schools etc.

In recent years, Kinga’s enthusiasm towards computerising clients’ accounting systems, means she has enhanced her cloud accounting knowledge and expertise, implementing the Xero accounts package and training clients so that they are able to get the best out of the software for their businesses.

Specialism: Charities, Subsidiary Accounting for foreign owned companies, Capital Tax planning

Lee works within our Corporate and Assurance Services team leading the assurance work on both our foreign owned clients as well as our charity and other not for profit clients. With his qualification as a Chartered Tax Advisor he is able to provide capital tax planning advice and support across the practice.

Lee is very much a home grown talent having joined Clemence Hoar Cummings in 2001, qualifying as a Chartered Certified Accountant in 2005 shortly before becoming a manager, assisting David Belbin with his client portfolio. In 2011 he successfully completed the very challenging Chartered Tax Advisor exams which he uses to inform the advice he gives to the wide range of clients he works on. Lee was promoted to director in November 2019 in recognition to his dedication to the role.
